How do I borrow books? (Check out)

    You can pick up the books you want to borrow on the shelf, and then present your library card to check out library books at circulation desks. 

    Note: You will not be able to borrow, renew or request books when your account is locked or when there is any overdue books or big fines in your account.


How do I renew books?

    Most books can be renewed online by yourself. After the renewal, the due date will be postponed for another general loan period counting from the renewal day. 

    Overdue books and test books can not be renewed.

How do I borrow interlibrary books?

The User’s Service Department will manage for you if you want to borrow interlibrary books.

How do I know whether I have overdue books?

    You can consult your circulation record through the library homepages or overdue notification in the main hall.

What happens if I return a book late?

    An overdue fine begins accruing as soon as the book is overdue and is charged 0.1 Yuan a day to your account when the book is returned..

What happens if I lose or damage a books? 

    If you lose a book, you will be charged 5 times the cost of replacement plus a processing fee of 5 Yuan.

    If you damage or blur a book, you will compensate for it.

What happen to a book thief?(Book thief)

     Book theft will be reported to the university, and be seriously punished with corresponding disciplines. Taking books out of library without checking out will be regarded as attempted theft.
